Austin Packers volleyball team falls to Rochester Century 3-1 in regular-season finale
The Austin Packers volleyball team wrapped up the 2023 regular season Tuesday evening with a Big 9 Conference matchup with the Rochester Century Panthers, and in a tough battle with an extremely talented Panther squad, it was the Packers falling 25-17, 22-25, 25-18 and 25-22.
Quinn Osgood played a fantastic match Tuesday evening as she led Austin in kills with 11, and also in digs with 23, plus she also tallied a pair of ace serves and one set assist, Isabella Bolster put down nine kills, and she added one ace serve and one dig, Ava Denzer totaled six kills, one set assist, eight digs and one block, Nora Sand tallied five kills and one dig, Aggie McKichan contributed five kills, one set assist, four digs and one block, Kathryn Crouch put down two kills, and she also came up with 15 digs defensively to also go with one ace serve and one set assist, Haleigh Holman put up 13 set assists to go with one ace serve and two digs, Alia Retterath led the Packers in set assists Tuesday evening with 20, plus she also led the squad in ace serves with five, and she also tallied one kill and 13 digs, and Kristen Neilsen put up one set assist and added 14 digs defensively.
Austin winds up the regular season with a record of 12-14 overall, and 3-8 in the Big 9 Conference.  Next up for the Packers will be the Section 1AAA tournament, which gets underway next Wednesday.
