Austin Packers boys tennis team falls to Winona Cotter 6-1 Thursday
The Austin Packers boys tennis team played host to the Ramblers of Winona Cotter in the second of a three-match homestand at the Wescott Athletic Complex Thursday, and two 3-set matches that went the direction of the Ramblers helped them down the Packers 6-1.
The win for Austin came at No. 1 singles as Cole Hebrink, who continues to play extremely well for the Packers picked up what Head Coach Jeff Anderson called probably his best win of the year as he downed Pedro Alonso of Cotter in a three-set battle 4-6, 6-1 and 6-4.
The Packers will be back in action next Monday as they play host to the Mankato East Cougars in a Big 9 Conference match, with the action scheduled to start at 4:45 p.m. that afternoon.
