Austin Packers girls soccer falls to Owatonna 9-1 Saturday

The Austin Packers girls’ soccer team was on the road Saturday afternoon in Owatonna versus the Huskies in a Big 9 Conference matchup, and Hillary Harstad tallied three goals for a hat trick, Anna Herzog added two goals and the Huskies scored five first-half goals on their way to a 9-1 win.

Sydney Hunst, Ezra Oien, Lily Sampson and Arianna Shornock all added goals for Owatonna, who went on to tally four more goals in the second half.  Austin falls to 1-3 on the season with the loss, and the road doesn’t get any smoother for the Packers as they play host to conference leader Mankato West Tuesday night at Art Hass Stadium.  You’ll hear the game on AM 1480 KAUS, with the Packer pre-game show at 6:50, and kickoff at 7:00 p..m
