Austin Packers boys golf team downs Red Wing 311-352 Monday

It was a beautiful day for golf at the Austin Country Club Monday for the Austin Packers in their home opener versus the Red Wing Wingers in a Big 9 Conference dual meet, and it was the Packers with three players carding scores in the 70’s on their way to a lopsided 311-352 win.

Sophomore Isaac Anderson fired the low round for the day for the Packers with a two-over par 74, junior Cale Tupy carded a 76, sophomore Elijah Krueger finished with a 78, senior Izaac Erickson finished with a round of 83, and senior Colin Berg and junior Carter Hovelsrud both shot rounds of 86.

The Packers are back into action on Monday, April 22nd as they travel to Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester for a Big 9 Conference triangular with the Mayo Spartans and the Century Panthers, with the teams scheduled to tee off at 2:30 p.m. that afternoon.
