In an update from the Mower County Emergency Operations Center, they ask that you please remember the Stay Home Minnesota order by Governor Walz if in effect till April 10th. It is a very important effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and conserve resources. Everyone’s compliance is greatly appreciated.
They would also like to extend their thanks to the Mower County Senior Citizen Center staff and volunteers for the amazing efforts in feeding the seniors of Mower County. If residents are interested in volunteering please reach out to the United Way of Mower County.
The Essential Needs Request Line is active and helping residents that need to be connected to community resources. For needs that can’t be met through family, friends or neighbors, please call 507-396-8227 or [email protected].
Health and Human Services is open for business, by phone! The Law Enforcement Center Lobby has forms available along with a drop-box. For general questions or to reach a worker, please call 507 437-9701.
Remember WIC is available for families by calling 507 437-9499. WIC is a supplemental food program for eligible pregnant, breastfeeding women; infants and children under age 5.
Pam Kellogg with Mower County Public Health, reports there are 13 lab confirmed cases in Mower County, of those, six are no longer in isolation. Ages have ranged from late teens to early 60’s.
