New Richland man killed, another man injured in two-vehicle accident on Highway 13 in Waseca County Wednesday morning

A New Richland man was killed and another man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 13 in Waseca County late Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2024 Volvo semi being driven by 35-year old Darryn Turner Bullock of Dallas, North Carolina was traveling northbound on Highway 13 at approximately 11:07 a.m. Wednesday morning when his vehicle collided with a southbound 2006 Dodge Ram pickup being driven by 58-year old Scott Bernard Bolduan of New Richland on the southbound shoulder at milepost 17 south of Highway 30 in New Richland Township.

Bolduan was killed in the accident, and the State Patrol reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, while Bullock sustained non-life threatening injuries, and he was transported to Owatonna Hospital for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that Bullock was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, and the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, North Ambulance and New Richland Fire and Rescue all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene late Wednesday morning.
