MDH records 95 additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 11,045

Mower County logged 10,607 confirmed and 438 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 11,045 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 95 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,321,753, and over 1,248,000 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 36,366 cumulative cases Monday, a jump of 329 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 9,506 cumulative cases Monday, up 98 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 8,256 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, a rise of 88 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 5,169 cumulative cases, up 31 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 4,234 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 21 from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 12,098 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 1,274,043, and they added that 29 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Saturday through Monday for a cumulative total of 11,411 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 56,094 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 10,677 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
