Funeral announcements for 8/16/23

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Maureen Baker Stroup Schmit, age 100 of Rose Creek at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 17th at St. Peter Catholic Church in Rose Creek.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16th at the Mayer-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service on Thursday morning.  Interment will take place at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery in Rose Creek.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Donald Gregor May, age 84 of Austin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18th at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17th at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and will continue for one hour prior to the service Friday morning.  Interment will take place at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery in Rose Creek at a later date.

A memorial service will be held for John Henry Mickelson, age 74 of Adams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19th at the Mona Lutheran Church in Mona, Iowa, with coffee to follow the service.  Visitation will take place from 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service.  Interment will take place at Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle.  

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Ryan K. Pickar, age 43 of Austin at 11;00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5th at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Austin.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 4th at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin, and will continue for one hour prior to the mass at the church.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Elma, Iowa.
