Blooming Prairie volleyball downs Randolph in five-set victory 3-2
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team played host to Randolph seeking their first Gopher Conference win of the season, and the Blossoms did just that as they came out on top in a five-set see-saw affair 11-25, 28-26, 18-25, 25-14 and 15-10.
Haven Carlson and Abby Hefling were both in double-figures in kills for the Blossoms Tuesday night with 12 and 10 kills, respectivley, plus Carlson led BP in block with eight, and she added two ace serves and three digs, while Hefling chipped in five blocks, two digs and an ace serve. Macy Lembke led the Blossoms in set assists with 13, plus she added eight digs and two blocks, Lexi Steckelberg contributed 12 set assists, three digs and an ace serve, Grace Krejci tallied five kills, 12 digs and three blocks, Josie Hoffman added three kills, nine digs and four blocks, Anna Pauly also had three kills, plus she chipped in five digs and two blocks and Madi Lea led BP in digs with 18.
With the win, Blooming Prairie is now 1-6 in the Gopher Conference and 4-15 overall. The Blossoms are back on the court Thursday evening in Dodge Center versus Triton, with the varsity match set to start at 7:15 p.m.
