Austin woman sentenced to supervised probation on felony theft charge in Mower County District Court
An Austin woman facing a felony theft charge in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that occurred in Austin on November 21st, 2021 has been sentenced to supervised probation.
41-year old Amanda Jo Hanson was convicted and sentenced Thursday to two years of supervised probation for a felony charge of theft, value more than $500 and less than $1,000, with a prior conviction within five years after Hanson was sentenced to time served and $248 in restitution after being involved in a check forgery case dating back to June of 2019.
A prison time of one year and one day in the case was stayed for two years if Hanson complies with the 16 different conditions of her probation, and Hanson first pleaded guilty to the charge on July 10th of this year.
