Austin woman injured in one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 52 in Goodhue County Wednesday morning

An Austin woman was one of two people injured in a one-vehicle, rollover-type accident on U.S. Highway 52 in Goodhue County early Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2011 Ford Focus being driven by 38-year old Leslie Michelle Lomack of St. Paul was southbound on Highway 52 at approximately 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning when she lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled at milepost 78.

Both Lomack and a passenger in her vehicle, 33-year old Gwendolynn Denise Lomack of Austin sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and they were both transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that both parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Zumbrota Police Department, Zumbrota EMS and the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene early Wednesday morning.
