Austin man injured in one-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County Monday morning
An Austin man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County late Monday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2016 Jeep CMP being driven by 32-year old Spenson Pelep of Austin was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90 at approximately 11:57 a.m. Monday morning when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a concrete drainage culvert at milepost 186 in Windom Township.
Pelep sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. The State Patrol indicated that it was not known if Pelep was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Departments from Dexter and Grand Meadow, plus Mayo Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene late Monday morning.
