Grand Meadow Superlarks girls’ basketball downs Mabel/Canton Friday night 50-43
Riley Queensland tallied a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds and the Grand Meadow Superlarks drilled six 3-point field goals in the first half on their way to a 50-43 win over Mabel/Canton in Southeast Conference girls’ basketball Friday night in Grand Meadow.
Isabelle Olson swished three 3-point field goals for her nine points in the game and Rylee Groom added the other three 3-pointers in the 1st half and wound up with 13 points for the Superlarks, who jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never trailed the rest of the way. River Landers added 10 points in the post for Grand Meadow and Gina Stier chipped in two points for the Superlarks, who led by as many as 20 in the first half and led 34-21 at the half.
With the win, the Superlarks move to 9-2 in the SEC and are now 11-6 overall on the season. Grand Meadow is back into action next Tuesday at home versus Southland, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
