Voters in Mower County head to the polls for Super Tuesday Presidential Primary Election

Voters in the state of Minnesota joined those in 15 other states and one territory in voting in the Super Tuesday Presidential Primaries yesterday, and locally, the results in Mower County mirrored those from elsewhere around the state, as for the Democrats, President Joe Biden received 902 votes Tuesday, or 84.4%, 71 voters in the county, or 6.6% were uncommitted, and Congressman Dean Phillips from Minnesota received 58 votes, or 4.8%. 

For the Republicans, former President Donald Trump received 1,526 votes in Mower County Tuesday, or 74%, and Nikki Haley received 478 votes, or 23.1%.  Biden and Trump were the runaway winners in Minnesota Tuesday, with Biden receiving 70.6% of the vote in the state from the Democrats, and Trump received 69.1% of the vote in the state from the Republicans.

The Mower County Canvassing Board will meet on Friday, March 8 at 11 am at the Mower County Government Center to certify the vote totals.
