Ruby’s Pantry of Austin to hold next distribution day Thursday, December 17th

Ruby’s Pantry of Austin will be holding another distribution day Thursday, December 17th at the Mower County Fairgrounds, and Bob Rosel, Media Coordinator for Ruby’s Pantry of Austin stated to KAUS that there will be two main changes for Thursday’s distribution day…

Rosel went on to state that more volunteers will be needed Thursday due to the new distribution method…

Guests will arrive off 4th Ave SW and begin lining up their vehicles in the Mower County Fairgrounds. There is a maximum of two bundles per vehicle, but Rosel went on to state that could change during the distribution depending on availability of food.  The donation amount remains $20 for each bundle.  Ruby’s asks that guests have exact cash amounts, and guests will remain in their cars and are asked to put empty containers in their trunk for the food items to be placed in.  Ruby’s is requesting that everyone who attends please follow volunteer instructions for a smooth and safe operation.   If anyone has questions they should call Grace Lutheran Church in Austin at 433-3445. Ruby’s Pantry of Austin also has a Facebook page for those interested in keeping up with their distributions and any changes they make.
