The next distribution day for Ruby’s Pantry of Austin is coming up this Thursday, March 18th at 4:00 p.m. at the Mower County Fairgrounds.
Bob Rosel, Media Coordinator for Ruby’s Pantry of Austin stated that more volunteers are always welcome, and they can start to arrive at the fairgrounds at around 2:30 p.m. Rosel stated that they are asking volunteers not to park on the grassy areas in the fairgrounds because the spring melt has left some of the grounds a bit soft. The procedure for the distribution will remain the same with guests staying in their vehicles as they drive by the distribution stations. A $20 donation will be accepted for each bundle with a maximum of two bundles per vehicle, which is subject to change due to food availability.
If anyone has any questions, they are welcome to check the Ruby’s Pantry of Austin Facebook page for any updates at Facebook.com/Rubys-Pantry-Austin. Info is also available at Grace Lutheran Church 433-3445.
