Mower County Tax Levy hearing continued to December 15th

The Mower County Board of Commissioners held its annual hearing Tuesday to allow public comment regarding the 2021 county budget and tax levy.  The annual hearing is sometimes referred to as a truth in taxation hearing.  County administrator Trish Harren presented the proposed 2021 budget and levy information.

Due to a longer than anticipated mail delivery time, county taxpayers did not receive their proposed property tax statements by the Dec. 1 hearing.  Therefore, the county board voted to continue the budget and levy hearing to Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 10 am.  You may attend in person at the Mower County Government Center in the County Board Room at 201 1st Street NE, Austin, MN.  Or you may attend virtually through zoom.
