The Mower County chapter of Pheasants Forever will be holding their Hunt for a Cure event Saturday at Three Arrows Hunting Preserve near LeRoy from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  All of the proceeds will go toward cancer research at the Hormel Institute, and Davin Allen and Arlen Schambur from the chapter talked to KAUS about prizes that will be given away as part of the event…

The registration fee is $125, and four birds will be released per participant.  Participants will be assigned to hunt a 2-hour window, and hunters and others walking in the field must wear blaze orange.  You are asked to bring a 12 or 20 gauge shotgun with a working safety and your own shells, and a parent or guardian must accompany hunters 12 to 16 years of age.  For more information, you can go to the chapter’s webpage at www.pfmowercountyhabitat.org
