Lyle/Pacelli’s Christianson commits to RCTC for 2020-2021 season

Olivia Christianson, who finished a stellar career with the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics girls’ basketball team as the program’s all-time leading scorer recently signed a letter of intent with the Rochester Community and Technical College Yellowjackets to continue her basketball career.

Christianson, who was brought up to the varsity as a 7th grader finished with 2,177 career points, 1st all-time in Athletics girls’ basketball history and averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and five steals per game this past season.  Christianson was a member of the first Lyle/Pacelli squad to qualify for the state tournament in 2015 in the history of the pairing of the two schools, as the Athletics finshed with a record of 26-3 and a 4th place finish.  Christianson was also an intregal part of the 2018 squad that finished 30-1 and took home the program’s first-ever state title, and she also helped to lead the Athletics to the Section 1A final in 2019.

The Yellowjackets were not able to field a team last season due to a lack of players. The season before, RCTC went 10-15 overall.
