Iowa woman injured in accident on southbound I-35 ramp to Highway 30 in Steele County Tuesday afternoon

An Iowa woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident on the southbound Interstate 35 off ramp to Highway 30 in Steele County Tuesday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2023 Toyota Corolla being driven by 73-year old Linda Kay Judiesch of Iowa City, Iowa was exiting southbound Interstate 35 at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, while a 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup being driven by 73-year old Wayne George Dobberstein of Ellendale was eastbound on Highway 30.  The State Patrol reported that the two vehicles then collided at the intersection of the two roads.

Judiesch sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Owatonna Hospital for treatment, while Dobberstein was uninjured.  The State Patrol indicated that both parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office, the Ellendale Fire Department and Ellendale Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Tuesday afternoon.
