Grand Meadow sweeps Lyle/Pacelli 3-0 in Southeast Conference volleyball Monday evening
The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics volleyball team played host to Grand Meadow in a Southeast Conference match in Lyle Monday evening, and it was the Superlarks coming away with a 3-0 sweep by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-21.
For the Athletics, 8th grade setter Autumn Drennan helped to lead the way offensively with six kills, plus she led the club in set assists with 11, and Drennan also added one ace serve and three digs. Senior outside hitter Avari Drennan tallied six kills, two ace serves and five digs, junior middle hitter Morgan Klankowski chipped in five kills, one dig and one block, 8th grade right hitter Jada Leif compiled one kill, two set assists, one ace serve and two digs, 7th grade middle/outside hitter/defensive specialist Jacey Bednar tallied one kill, two ace serves and one dig, senior libero Kate Rauen led the Athletics in digs Monday night with seven, 8th grade defensive specialist Carleigh Rymer chipped in two digs, and freshman outside hitter Audrey Wilde tallied one dig Monday evening.
For Grand Meadow, Lexy Foster led the way offensively with 12 kills, plus she added one dig, Haylie Paul tallied eight kills, plus she led the Larks in blocks Monday night with two, and in ace serves with five, plus she added one set assist and four digs, Gracie Foster registered seven kills, two set assists, a team-high 10 digs and one ace serve, Lauren Queensland tallied six kills, one set assist and five digs defensively, Hallie Hendrickson led Grand Meadow in set assists Monday night with 32, plus she also chipped in two ace serves and two kills, and Rylie Schaufler contributed one kill, one ace serve and four digs, and Hailey Lovejoy added one ace serve and one dig in the win.
With the loss, Lyle/Pacelli is now 0-15 overall and 0-7 in the Southeast Conference, while Grand Meadow is now 5-2 in the conference and 8-7 overall with the win. The Athletics are back in action at home Thursday night versus Mabel-Canton, while Grand Meadow will host Houston the same evening. Both matches get underway at 7:15 p.m.
