Funeral announcements for 1/26/23

A funeral service will be held for Darrell Jacobson, age 88 of Blooming Prairie at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27th at 1st Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday morning.  Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Blooming Prairie Township.

A visitation will be held for James “Michael” Sydenstricker, age 78 of Austin from noon until 1pm on Friday, January 27th at the Clasen/Jordan Mortuary in Austin.  Following the visitation, there will be a graveside committal service at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.

A funeral service will be held for William “Bill” Arthur DeVries, age 61 of Glenville at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27th at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Austin.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday afternoon.  

A funeral service will be held for Lyle Henry Engelhardt, age 77 of Austin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28th at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with visitation one hour prior to the service Saturday morning.  A light lunch will be served immediately following the service, before interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Brownsdale.  

A celebration of life for Charles Franklin Hardy, Jr., age 85 of Bloomington will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28th at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin.  Visitation will be held on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.  

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date for Donald “Don” Richard Fox, age 86 of Austin at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  Visitation will take place at a later date,and interment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.  In honor of Don’s love for the color red and the Austin Packers, his family invites you to wear red to his services.
