Four addtional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,815
Mower County logged 4,676 confirmed and 139 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,815 since the onset of the pandemic, up four from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials added that 45,924 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 603,550 people haenow been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County recorded 13,721 cumulative cases Thursday, a jump of 28 from Wednesday, Steele County reported 4,051 cumulative cases Wednesday, up nine from Thursday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,571 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday. Dodge County now has 1,949 cumulative COVID-19 cases,up ten from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,631 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 878 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 616,784, and they added that five additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,688 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 33,538 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,796 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
