Four additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 4,407

Mower County logged 4,289 confirmed and 118 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 4,407 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of four from Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Pam Kellogg, Division Manager with Mower County Health and Human Services reported that there are approximately 80 active COVID-19 cases in the county at last word.

Olmsted County recorded 12,429 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 29 from Sunday, Steele County reported 3,382 cumulative cases Monday, up six from Sunday, Freeborn County now has 3,121 cumulative cases, up seven from Sunday, Dodge County logged 1,649 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up five from Sunday and Fillmore County now has 1,493 cumulative cases, a rise of three from Sunday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,385 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 527,650 cumulative cases since the start of the pandemic, and they added that Minneosta’s death toll from the coronavirus  rose by 10 Monday to 6.885 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 27,569 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 5,661 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
