Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team falls to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 3-0 Tuesday evening

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team traveled to Janesville Tuesday night to take on the Bulldogs of Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton in a Gopher Conference matchup, and in JWP’s Homecoming  game, the Bulldogs swept the Blossoms by scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-13.

Addison Doocy tallied five kills and led the Blossoms in blocks with four Tuesday night, Annaka Forsberg also put down five kills and added two digs, Elizabeth Miner chipped in two kills and six digs defensively, Claire Schwarz tallied one kill, nine digs and one block, Macy Lembke led the squad in both set assists with 14, and in digs with 16, plus she served up an ace Tuesday evening, Layla Lembke tallied 15 digs, Ella Smith put down one kill and added six digs, Sam Helfing contributed 11 digs and one ace serve, Madelyn Harvey registered six kills and one ace serve, and Brianna Deplitch tallied two digs defensively in the loss Tuesday evening.

With the loss, Blooming Prairie is now 0-4 in the Gopher Conference and 2-9 overall on the season.  The Blossoms return to action Thursday evening at home versus Kenyon-Wanamingo in a Gopher Conference match, with the action starting at 7:15 p.m.
