Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms football team routs Wabasha-Kellogg 48-6 Friday evening
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms football team was looking to get back on the winning track Friday night as they played host to the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons, and the Blossoms came out ready to roll as they posted a 42-6 lead at the half on their way to a 48-6 victory.
Blossoms quarterback Brady Kittleson was 10 for 16 passing for 104 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, while Gabe Staloch also saw time at quarterback starting in the second quarter, and he went 5 for 7 for 84 yards and two more touchdowns. Kittleson also added four carries for 39 yards and two touchdowns, and Gage Mullenbach led the Blossoms yardage-wise in rushing Friday night with eight carries for 84 yards. Blooming Prairie wound up with 248 rushing yards as a team, and they added 188 more yards through the air in the lopsided victory.
The Blossoms move to 2-1 on the season with the win, and Blooming Prairie stays at home for their next game next Friday night versus a strong Goodhue Wildcats team, who will sport a 3-0 record coming into the game after a 33-6 victory over Rushford-Peterson Friday night. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. in Blooming Prairie next Friday night.
