Austin Packers volleyball team falls to unbeaten Rochester Century 3-0 Tuesday

The Austin Packers volleyball team played host to the unbeaten Rochester Century Panthers in the second of a five-match homestand at Packer Gym Tuesday evening, and it was the Panthers maintaining their unbeaten record and first place in the Big 9 Confernence with a 25-9, 25-10, 25-11 win.

Peyton Manahan led Austin in kills Tuesday evening with four and ace serves with two, plus she tied for the team lead in the match in digs with six, Nora Tweeten tallied three kills, one block and one set assist, Ava Denzer chipped in two kills, one block and one dig, Alia Retterath served up one ace, led the Packes in set assists with four and added three digs, and Kristen Nielsen added one set assist and tied for the top spot in digs for Austin with six.

Austin is now 1-2 in the Big 9 Conference and 2-7 overall, and the Packers are back in action Thursday night at Packer Gym versus Red Wing in the Big 9, with the varsity action set to start at 7:15 p.m.
