Austin man seriously injured in one-vehicle accident on I-90 in Mower County Tuesday morning
An Austin man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle, rollover-type accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County early Tuesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup being driven by 35-year old Blaine Warren Edwards of Austin was eastbound on Interstate 90 at approximately 5:06 a.m. Tuesday morning when his vehicle left the snow and ice covered roadway and rolled at milepost 183 in Windom Township.
Edwards, who the State Patrol indicated was unbelted at the time of the accident sustained life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment. The Mower County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance both assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene early Tuesday morning.
