Austin man sentenced to additional prison time on felony aggravated robbery charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who shoplifted from Walmart in Austin during two different trips on November 12th, 2015, and who then robbed both Reed’s 4th Avenue and the Hari Food Mart, both in northeast Austin at gunpoint and assaulted the clerk at Reed’s 4th Avenue that same day has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

In an amended court decision Tuesday, 30-year old Dylan Arthur Leeper was sentenced to 48 months in prison for a felony charge of aggravated robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon.  Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Leeper will serve the sentence consecutively with a 9-year sentence he is currently serving for a felony charge of aggravated robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, as Leeper was convicted and sentenced on that charge on January 15th, 2016 after pleading guilty the same day.

Three felony counts of 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony charge for 5th degree assault, and a misdemeanor charge for theft, taking, using or transferring movable property without consent in the case against Leeper were all dismissed with his guilty pleas.
