Austin man sentenced on felony criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who pleaded guilty to a felony criminal sexual conduct charge from 2012 in Mower County District Court has been sentenced to jail time, supervised probation and a fine.

27-year old Paul Daniel Cole pleaded guilty to a felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct for an incident in 2012. Authorities reported that the abuse occurred when the victim was around five or six years old and Cole was 19 or 20. He was arrested in December 2018.

Cole was sentenced Friday to 179 days in the Mower County jail, followed by 25 years of supervised probation. He must also pay a $5,000 fine.
