One of two suspects accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of items from a residence in Austin is pleading guilty in Mower County District Court.

19-year old Quincy James Towers of Austin, entered a guilty plea Monday to a charge of 2nd degree burglary. He and 20-year old Treshawn Martez Delaney of Austin, were arrested in August 2019 and accused of burglarizing a home in the 300 block of 1st Street SE in Austin.

Investigators reported that approximately $8,000 in coins, a leaf blower, a circular saw, electronics, a safe, guitars, a video recorder and a camera were taken along with a credit card and other items.  Authorities reported that Towers and Delaney were found in a car with the stolen items.

Towers is set to be sentenced on April 23. Delaney is scheduled to stand trial beginning March 2 for charges of 2nd degree burglary and felony theft.
