Austin man charged with three felonies after two reports of shots fired early Monday morning

An Austin man taken into custody in connection to two reports of shots fired early Monday morning, one from the 300 block of South Main Street and the other only minutes later from the 800 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast has been charged in Mower County District Court.

20-year old Manamany Omot Abella was charged Wednesday with felonies for being a violent felon in possession of a firearm, drive by shooting toward a person, occupied motor vehicle, or occupied building, and for second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Abella, who is currently awaiting disposition on felony drug and firearms charges will make his next appearance in Mower County District Court on July 2nd.
