Albert Lea woman injured in two-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County Monday afternoon

An Albert Lea woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County Monday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2001 Peterbuilt tractor being driven by 36-year old Dayton David Hartung of Fairmont was westbound on Interstate 90 at approximately 4:26 p.m. Monday afternoon when his vehicle collided with a 2012 Ford Fusion being driven by 75-year old Linda Delores Peterson of Albert Lea, who was also westbound entering onto Interstate 90 at the time of the collision at milepost 175 in Austin Township.

Peterson was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries, while Hartung was uninjured.  The State Patrol reported that both parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Fire and Police Departments from Austin, plus Mayo Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Monday afternoon.
