An Albert Lea man who broke into the residence of a woman in Brownsdale who had a domestic abuse no-contact order against him on the afternoon of May 3rd has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.
38-year old Brandon Stanley Johnson was convicted and sentenced Thursday to 30 months in prison for a felony charge of violating a domestic abuse no-contact order. Johnson was also convicted and sentenced Thursday to 19 months in prison for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge that stemmed from an incident that took place earlier on November 7th, 2020. Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that the two sentences can be served concurrently, and Johnson pleaded guilty to both charges on July 2nd.
A felony charge of 1st degree burglary of an occupied dwelling, a misdemeanor charge for possession of metal knuckles and a petty misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia in the case were all dismissed with Johnson’s guilty pleas.
