A conversation with Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Paul Thissen

Incumbent Paul Thissen and Michelle MacDonald are running in a nonpartisan general election for the Minnesota Supreme Court on November 3rd.  KAUS News had a chance to talk with Justice Thissen, who spoke about some of the main issues he’s been hearing about from Minnesotans on the campaign trail…

Justice Thissen went on to state that it’s critically important to continue to educate Minnesotans of all ages concerning the court system, and he added that it’s also very important to assure Minnesotans that the court system will be responsive to their needs…

Justice Thissen is the first person to have served both as Minnesota House Speaker and on the Minnesota Supreme Court.  A reminder that all in-person voting in the city of Austin for the November 3rd election has been moved to the Austin Holiday Inn and Convention Center due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In Minnesota, you can also vote early with an absentee, or mail-in ballot. You can request an absentee, or mail-in ballot at the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website at mnvotes.org, and absentee ballots can be returned directly to the Mower County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office on the second floor of Austin City Hall, or they can also be returned through the mail.
