715 new COVID-19 cases reported Sunday in Minnesota; Mower County’s total approaching 1,000

715 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Minnesota Sunday along with three additional deaths, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 42,281.  The state Health Department’s Kris Ehresmann says confirmed cases have skewed toward younger demographics 20-49 collectively making up nearly 57% of all reported cases:

Mower County reported 983 positive COVID-19 cases Sunday, up one from the 982 cases reported on Saturday.  Olmsted County now has 1,276 cases, up 17 from 1,259 on Saturday and Rice County reported five new cases Sunday for a total of 884.  Blue Earth County recorded 575 cases Sunday, up 11 from 564 on Saturday, Freeborn County now has 313 cases, up one from 312 on Saturday and Steele County reported 247 cases Sunday, up two from 245 on Saturday.

Winona County now has 144 positive COVID-19 cases, up three from 141 on Saturday, Dodge County recorded 97 cases Sunday, up one from 96 on Saturday and Waseca County reported 78 cases Sunday, up one from 77 on Saturday.  Fillmore County now has 36 cases, up one from 35 on Saturday and Houston County recorded 32 cases Sunday for the second day in a row.

251 Minnesotans are currently in the hospital due to complications from the virus, with 123 of them serious enough to require intensive care.
