26 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 5,607

Mower County logged 5,437 confirmed and 170 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 5,607 since he onset of the pandemic, a rise of 26 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 46,317 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 657,900 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 15,877 cumulative cases Monday, a jump of 85 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 5,029 cumulative cases Monday, up 21 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 4,304 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up nine from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 2,422 cumulative cases, up 16 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 1,968 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 21 from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 2,474 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 684,070, and they added that 10 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Saturday through Monday for a cumulative total of 7,993 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 36,860 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 7,492 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
