25-vehicle accident shuts down I-35 North Thursday morning

More than 25 vehicles, including six semis, were involved in an accident on I-35 near Owatonna Thursday morning that resulted in a detour being put in place.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the accident involved 20 passenger cars and six semis.

Authorities worked through the morning to clear the traffic lanes and had the road reopened at noon.   

The State Patrol said that there were only minor injuries reported from the accident.
