23 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Saturday and Sunday for cumulative total of 7,237

Mower County recorded 7,000 confirmed and 237 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 7,237 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 23 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that the total positive cases for the duration of the pandemic, including reinfections, now total 899,739, and over 859,600 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 21,874 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 123 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 6,728 cumulative cases Monday, up 34 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,530 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 23 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 3,542 cumulative cases, up 25 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 3,009 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 18 from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 4,511 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 889,628, and they added that 44 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state over the weekend for a cumulative total of 9,382 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 45,431 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 9,062 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
