Lyle/Pacelli volleyball team rallies from 2-1 deficit to defeat Schaeffer Academy 3-2 Wednesday night

The Lyle-Pacelli Athletics volleyball team was looking for its first win of the young 2020 season when they hosted the Schaeffer Academy Lions in Lyle Wednesday evening, and the Athletics were able rally back from a 2 sets to 1 deficit to down the Lions 20-25, 25-9, 22-25, 25-20 and 15-7 in the fifth and deciding set.

Mikayla Ingersoll put down 10 kills to lead LP in hitting, plus she added two ace serves from the service line.  Avari Drennan tallied four kills, one ace serve and led the Athletics in ace blocks with four, Emma Wilde added three kills, seven set assists and an ace serve, Kearah Schaffer chipped in three kills and five ace serves, Olivia Heard led LP in set assists with 11, plus she tallied an ace block and two kills, Hailey Ott provided two kills, one set assist, three ace serves and two ace blocks and Audrey Heard led LP in ace serves Wednesday night with seven.

With the win, Lyle/Pacelli is 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the Southeast Conference.  The Athletics return to action at home next Tuesday evening versus Kingsland.
