Winter Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota is underway

This is Winter Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota, and Todd Shea, a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in LaCrosse, Wisconsin gave KAUS News an overview of what will be covered this week….

Shea went on to state that one of the main functions of events such as Winter Weather Awareness Week is to urge everyone to stay informed, particularly those with travel plans…

Shea urged everyone to use the information to be shared this week to keep themselves in the know, and safe through the winter season…

The National Weather Service will be focusing on different topics each day this week, including winter storms on Monday, outdoor winter safety on Tuesday, winter fire safety on Wednesday, indoor winter safety Thursday and winter driving on Friday.
