Waseca man sentenced to prison time on felony drug sale charge in Mower County District Court
A Waseca man who sold over 330 fentanyl pills to a confidential informant during five separate drug deals in Austin from November 15th through the 23rd of 2022 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.
26-year old Phabayo Nygare Gilo was convicted and sentenced Thursday to 75 months, or six years and three months in prison for a felony charge of 2nd degree drugs, sale of 10 grams or more of a narcotic other than heroin within a 90-day period. Gilo was given credit for 318 days already served, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge on November 29th, 2023.
Two additional felony counts of 2nd degree drugs, sale of 10 grams or more of a narcotic other than heroin within a 90-day period, and two felony counts of 3rd degree drugs, sale of a narcotic against Gilo in case were all dismissed with his guilty plea, and Gilo initially pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him on February 6th, 2023.
