Two Iowa residents suffered non-life threatening injuries in a one-vehicle rollover-type accident Thursday morning on eastbound Interstate 90 in eastern Mower County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2004 Chevy Malibu being driven by 72-year old John Sanford Odell of Jefferson, Iowa was eastbound on I-90 at mile marker 204 in Racine Township in Mower County at 8:09 a.m. Thursday morning when his vehicle entered the median and rolled.  Both Odell and a passenger in his vehicle, 66-year old Linda Sue Odell of Jefferson, Iowa suffered non-life threatening injuries. John Odell was not transported to a medical facility, but Linda Odell was taken to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.

The State Patrol reported that the road was snow and ice covered at the time of the accident, and both parties involved were wearing their seat belts.  Sheriff’s Offices from Mower and Olmsted County assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
