Two Austin women injured in two-vehicle accident at intersection of Highway 56 and eastbound I-90 Thursday afternoon
Two women from Austin were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 56 and eastbound Interstate 90 in Mower County Thursday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2015 Ford Focus being driven by 23-year old Alison Ruth Delhanty of Austin was exiting eastbound Interstate 90 at approximately 12:42 p.m. Thursday afternoon, while a 2003 Freightliner tractor truck being driven by 44-year old Dominic Aaron Bure of Janesville was traveling southbound on Highway 56. The State Patrol reported that the vehicles then collided at the intersection of the two roads.
Delhanty and a passenger in her vehicle, 23-year old Amy Elizabeth Stoulil of Austin both sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and Delhanty was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin, while Stoulil was not transported. Bure was uninjured, and the State Patrol indicated that all parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, the Rose Creek Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Thursday afternoon.
