Spring Valley man injured in one-vehicle accident on Highway 16 in Mower County

A Spring Valley man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 16 in Mower County early Thursday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2006 Toyota Tacoma being driven by 44-year old Michael Glenn Becker of Spring Valley was traveling eastbound on Highway 16 at 6:54 a.m. Thursday morning when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at milepost 210 in Frankford Township.

Becker suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.  The State Patrol indicated in their report that Becker was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, plus Grand Meadow Fire and Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
