Six additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,686

Mower County logged 4,559 confirmed and 127 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,686 since the onset of the pandemic, up six from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,385 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 582,400 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,307 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 11 from Wednesday, Steele County reported 3,919 cumulative cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,431 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up four from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 1,857 cumulative cases, up one from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,568 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, which was unchanged from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 874 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 597,052, and they added that eight additional COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,333 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 31,642 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,434 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
