Second half real estate, or property taxes in Mower County due Thursday, October 15th
The Mower County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office reminds residents of the county that second half real estate, or property taxes are due Thursday, October 15th.
Tax payments can be made in person at the Mower County Government Center at 201 1st St. NE in Austin from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and you are asked to please enter through the Law Enforcement Center entrance doors. Residents of the county can also use the property tax payment drop box at the Mower County Government Center, which is located just outside the Law Enforcement Center entrance on the northwest side of the building, and they can also mail their payments in by using the green envelope included with their property tax statement. County residents can also pay their second half real estate, or property taxes by going online to the Mower County Auditor/Treasurer’s page of the Mower County website at http://co.mower.mn.us/; look for the “Property Tax Information” page, and a reminder that convenience fees do apply.
Residents are asked to please mail or bring in the payment stubs with your payment, and payments should be postmarked on or before October 15th to be accepted as timely paid. A penalty will be added effective October 16th if payment is not made in a timely fashion, and for questions, you can contact Mower County taxpayer services at (507) 396-8219, or (507) 396-8220.
The Auditor/Treasurer’s Office also reminds affected Mower County residents that second half agricultural real estate taxes and second half mobile home property taxes are due Monday, November 16th.
