U.S. Senator from Minnesota Tina Smith (DFL) has announced she will be self-quarantining, pending the results of a COVID-19 test.
Smith, who is running for re-election, posted this tweet on Sunday:
I found out this afternoon that a person present at a campaign event last weekend tested positive for COVID-19 today. The event was outdoors & masks were required, & while I was never in close contact with them, I’m getting tested & I am quarantining until I test negative.
