Local search being organized for Rochester man missing since last Friday who has been spotted in Austin
A local search is being organized for a man missing from Rochester since early last Friday morning who has been spotted in Austin.
72-year old David Edward Janson, of Rochester went missing around 2:00 a.m. last Friday morning after getting gas at the Kwik Trip near 20th Street SW and Broadway Avenue in Rochester. Authorities reported that Janson has been seen multiple times in Austin, and his vehicle, a 2001 silver Honda Accord with Illinois plates 226-0227 was found abandoned on 2nd Street SW in Austin near Skinner’s Hill. Authorities and family members are asking residents in that area of Austin to look in their garages, storage sheds and outbuildings for any sign of Janson, who is described as being 6 feet 2 inches tall, 205 pounds with white hair, and he was last seen wearing red and black fleece and black sweatpants. Family members say Janson is a diabetic and does not have his medication with him.
The local search is being organized by Janson’s family and will start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning at Living Bible Church at 301 4th Street SW.
