Sunday night, the Minnesota House of Representatives adjourned the 2020 Legislative Session at its constitutionally-mandated deadline without an agreement on legislation to improve Minnesotans’ economic security during the COVID-19 crisis.

State District 27B Representative Jeanne Poppe, DFL’er from Austin commented to KAUS News on the two-year budget and other accomplishments during the session, including help for Minnesota’s farmers.  Poppe also spoke about the local projects and jobs bill that did not receive the 81 votes needed to pass in the House….

Rep. Poppe says there is more work ahead this year in a special session slated for the middle of June as the legislature considers other COVID-19 issues.
